Started out in a small workshop in Athens. Handmade on the island of Tinos.
Handmade leather sandals. Three generations. One family.
Leather sandals have a timeless quality.
The weight of them in your hand. The smell of the leather. The way they mould, slowly and naturally, to the foot wearing them.
At Leandro, we make sandals the way they’ve always been made — by hand, with care, using leather that stands the test of time. Our story began in 1948, in a small shoemaker’s workshop in Athens. Today, it continues on the island of Tinos, in the Aegean, where the wind is steady, the light is bright and nothing is done in a hurry.
Every pair is cut, sewn and finished by hand in our workshop on Tinos. No heavy machinery is used to do the work that hands do best.
We use only genuine leather sourced from Greek tanneries — the most durable and authentic part of the hide. It ages with you. It tells your story.
Since 1948, three generations of the Oikonomou family have been crafting leather footwear. We are simply the latest chapter in this story.
